I’m interested in exploring identity through an other-worldy lens. In this series, I focus on the feeling of disconnection that comes with navigating chronic illness. I no longer recognize my body which has left me detached from myself. I make sense of this mental disconnection through the physicality of photography. Photo collage, acrylic paint, drops of water, and other textures are used to create an unrecognizable world for the viewer. The layering of materials creates an unpredictable change in how I perceive myself. I aim to investigate my identity through experimentation as I continue learning how to live inside a new body.
